Freight Forwarding??
« on: May 30, 2014, 08:48:23 pm »
Gday all,

Is there a reliable freight forwarding company from the USA??

I would like to purchase 2 x sets of tyres for my RV ,,total cost  is $296 when I contact owner he tells me to buy through ebay.

Total cost now $735...$440 in shipping streeeewth

Is it worth buying direct from web site and sending to freight forward company or is that crazy $$$$$$ as well???

Cheers

£174.99 + £59.99 Australia Royal Mail International Signed

AU $314.44 + $107.80 +$422.24AUD

still expensive for a set of tyres but its a lot cheaper

theres a pommy seller called blokeo that's got front and back tyres and you might be able to get them sent by sea freight as the poms still do that unlike the septics but only want to air freight everything

you can only ride one bike at a time unless your clever.  ;)

one set to get the bike through the QT rules and then slip a set of ATV tyres on that will work great in the soft stuff.

Kenda scooter tyres go pretty close
road legal

front
 part #K4870

 Description
 140/70-14 K764 6P TL 68S

the wide 10" rear is an issue as the widest road legal tyre I can find is 130, the RV seems to take about a 170
PIRELLI SL38 UNICO 130/70-10 Inch
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PIRELLI-SL38-UNICO-130-70-10-Inch-Motorcycle-Scooter-Tubeless-Tyre-130-70-10-EA-/151274009601?pt=AU_Motorcycle_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2338a23401

then they jump to about 200 for ATVs(too wide for swing arm)  but most are rectangular not round profile for bikes.

 hope it helps

Pokey,

RV uses 6.70-12 on the rear 5.40-14 front

There are plenty of the Bridgestone sets in the USA and UK just not in Aus ???? ??? ???

Thanks

Buy direct from someone like Rocky Mountain ATV, they have subsidized freight depending on the amount of $ spent. $600-$700 of goods is the sweet spot for the freight. It's all self explanatory, just follow the links on their website. There are a number of companies who do similar.
