I bought one of these new from Frasers in Newcastle back in the day,
i absolutely loved it...
it was a wee bit tall for me but the motor was a pretty strong thing...
and the harder i rode it, the better it handled...
front brake was about as strong as a Duck lifting a train :o
and the rear brake pedal hinged on a pin cast into the clutch cover and mine broke in a crash that needed a redisign :o
i reckon a disc front end on one of those and they'd make a real nice pre~85 bike 8)

If anyone is interested in this bike it is not that far from me. I could go check it out. I will also have a look at his YZee 80 L.

That's funny.  I recently recognised the owner of my local independent bike shop as the guy I bought my cr80 from back in '85. He was pleasantly unimpressed.
