I think you have to be totally obsessed or lucky in this regard. I knew a bloke with a purple GTR XU1, immaculate car, was convinced they were going to go thru the roof $$wise. it was his first car and he looked after it intensely... until mid 1990s when he just had to get some cash for a new house or an extension or something so he sold it for 8K......

Hindsight is bitch if you ask me..... I sold my genuine "lettuce alone" HQ SS for $6500 back in 1996 and thought I got good money for it. I also had a turbo charged orange LJ XU1 way back in "86 that I swapped for a brand new CB900 boldor.....I thought I did well with that deal as well  ::)
Arrogance.....A way of life for the those that having nothing further to learn.

Just saw a picture of a Husky WR250 AE  twin shock , now that might be worth something.
PEZ ?
I have never seen a 250 AE I have only seen open class Auto's

Turns out it was a 83/WR roller with a ARMY 250AE engine.
Sure looked factory.

Hmmm forgot about those Army auto's there must be a heap of those somewhere? I wonder if there cheap?

Looks like we can blame Husqvarna for the curse of black rims on VMX bikes.  ;D

My thoughts are that in years to come an era line will be drawn between steel frame bikes and alloy frame bikes, time will tell tell if I'm correct but I can't see many of the alloy framed bikes being around 30+ years after production let alone hold any much collectable value even if they are.  Just my 2c, you are free to disagree.

Great read Brendan,
I think the last Suzuki RMX 250 ,1998 to 2001 was an awesome bike. Whether that makes it a good investment time will tell. Cheers Terry.

Don't buy a current F1 car and expect to race in historics in say 20 years time. Apparently some of the exotic marterials used degrade within a comparatively short period making them unsafe to use. I'll stick to water pipe framed Bultacos in the meantime. J
