Anyhow, I am a Holden man gone bad ::)
but despite having some beauties(Holdens),
And despite, so many bagging the HD
My favourite Holden memory was indeed a HD that I payed $150 for, It had no rust, yes that's right no rust and a perfectly even compression 149,,it was as sweet as
,,,and this pic is getting printed and going on the wall,,,sweet memories, ah sweet memories :-*

As said . Only in Aust, great pictures, I'm going to have to rearrange the family Easter holidays and bring my Spanish Armada out. By the way is it a HR or a HD same profile and tail lights, the difference may be the badge on the side of the cabin, so it's a three on the tree 149 or a 161 ?. All good anyways
Bultaco Metralla, Matador MK 5, Montadero mk2, El Bandido model 18,plus lots of bits and two Honda XR's 250,350.

Ok, it's a HR,the front bumper does not have the extra bit that kicks up vertically on the side of the guard. He'd to google all this for pictures by the way.Had a HR van back in the day. To talk it up the green ute probably has a 186 S with the 4 speed Opel gearbox!!!!!!Those were the days.

Keen eyes, no chance slipping one past you lot ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
I should have looked a bit harder :o
I desperately wanted to keep this one,,,the last in a long line of many for me :'(

But allass, the dreaded rust out maneuvered me, heart breaking, very heart breaking.
I went to a lot of expense
192, high volume pump, Hypiertectic pistons, roller followers on a specially prepared Wade, rollers rockers, yellow terra, electronic ignition, extractors exhaust, dual throat Holley.
Geez I can even remember as plain as day riding my XS750(810) all the way to Sydney, in the pissing down rain to pick-up a new bell housing from Dellow ::) To slip a five speed toyota into Bluey.
Damm shame they rusted so well. Heartbreaking :'(

Now that's a proper thread hyjack ;D
