Hi,
I took my 81 gs 250 out for its maiden run at Tallarook last Sunday , it ran well all day and just needs the clutch sorting and a bit of suspension tuning ....... an 82 rv cylinder might help as it has not a lot of bottom end grunt but flys in the mid range , I will put pics up soon.

I put a Mikuni flat slide in 250GS - 38mm I think - ran strong from low revs to high once the jetting was right. It had a Lectron when I got it but it was pretty trashed hence the Mikuni. My '82 250MC has the standard Bing which has great mid range - haven't explored the top end yet really.

Hi my bike had a PWK Keihin when I bought it , I fitted a 36 mm vm roundslide off an RM 250 it works ok but still hits too hard for slippery tight vinduro riding . The kehin was too new and miles too rich . The mikuni needs sorting great mid range and top end but lifeless and a little lean down low ....
