Bike Trailer stolen
« on: March 26, 2014, 10:05:34 am »
Gday all,

Last night some thieves stole my 3 bike trailer from the front yard of my  Currimundi house , Sunshine Coast

The trailer had a padlock securing but it wasn't enough...damn,,,i knew I heard something in the night, check the bikes but didn't think they were after trailer in front yard.

Police advised, maybe someone will see in the sunny coast area.

Thanks Simo

Yep trailer is same colour as pic, spare wheel on A frame, ford mag wheels,  it is home made and uses extension legs for the tie downs to secure bikes so it will stand out no matter what colour they change it too.

Here is a recent pic taken last week.

Bit late to ring but I think I saw it today parked on it's own just off Nicklin Way in Regatta Boulevard I think. You'll see it driving along Nicklin Way if it's still there.

Cheers,

Yeah Steve you were right it was my trailer...I was in Melb yesterday when I got the call from a DBW forum member and couldn't believe the trailer was on a main road about 5km from home,,,,with everything in place,,,the ramp, toolbox...spare tyre,,,everything,,,,wierd..

Now I will find a way to lock the trailer more secure,,,but still worry that the thieves know I have bikes.

I know of a guy whos box trailer was stolen but he didnt know about it as it was returned.

He woke up what was going on when he got a few camera speeding fines.

He went and sighted the pictures and he said you could see the young guys giving the finger out of the window of the car towing it.
