Decomp Valve Info for '88 Husky
« on: March 23, 2014, 07:12:19 pm »

Anyone got a decomp valve  fitted to a w/cooled Husky circa '88 model  ?  (bike is  an '88  but I'm thinking would  it be similar in design as earlier w/cooled Huskys)

Need pics /info  on  best  size valve  to use  , location , etc ,

    Any info / links  appreciated.

    Regards,
                   Steve

2 different ideas on a 85/400 which is the same as the 88/400 I have here.
I find the top one better because you can reach down and click it on a down hill after you have snuffed the engine with the back brake  :o

  Thanks for  the pics .
Helping a mate  sort out his starting woes  with  his 430  auto  .
A  decomp  should, hopefully , make it easier for him  to kick  start  the bike .

  Regards ,

They can have an ignition problem if fitted with a SEM.
For a cheap fix.
Contact PEZBerg on this forum for more info.

Bike  tune /set up is  fine  .
The starting difficulty (for my mate only) seems more to do with kick starting a big bore  with his  bung leg.
  Decomp should help .
