1985 YZ250 with air cooled motor????

Don't know why you would, but the price could be right for someone who wants the engine and then sell the rest off  ;)

Looks like a 85 frame, with later model tank, exhaust and other bits, but looks pretty tidy overall and gotta love those red footpegs  ::)

Gotta be a YZ490, or a YZ250F motor? Maybe IT250F/G?!
The "likely" aircooled motors (IT250H+, YZ250G/H) all had side exhaust ports.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Piston Numbers come up as 250YZ C, D, E,F? and IT250 E,F,G Wiseco Piston. look like an YZ250 E/F motor given the size of the ignition cover.

Need engine numbers.

Intake manifold seems to point the carby directly backwards - suggesting the motor isn't from a D/E.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Be good to know the engine #..Looks like a E-F engine to me,... if so wouldn't mind it for a spare engine to tinker with  8)
