RM250 shock

Anyone know the correct shock length for a 250E/F.
I never got one with the bike and have my 125E shock in at the moment but have been told they are different lengths.
Plus the standard shock sucks.
I have a later model remote shock of unknown origin that I may use but it is too long. I can shorten it at work and it has both rebound and compression adjustment so will be a cheap option.

If you want to save the haste you can buy my I works performance shock that came out of my RM 250F that I imported from the US (I located a standard shock).

 Neil Jarrett ran it in his 250E whilst he got his podium shock sorted.
