If there is nothing mentioned in the next issue of VMX magazine I'm guessing it's not on. We're nearly into March, doesn't leave much time for people to plan if it's on in June. Some clarification would be good.
Let's face it some dirt bikes were never meant to be ridden.

I don't think it should be every year. With VMX meets and now plenty of Vinduros there is plenty of riding.

I would like to see it every two or three years. This way I think there would be more stuff ( newer acquisitions ) to look at.

Even though I'm from Sydney and Connondale was fantastic I would like to see it go back to Victoria, where it all started. The Vics alone would fill the place.

I disagree Ted
It was the one event that bought everyone together. The non competive with the racer , the Vinduro rider with the MX guys even the trails guys came. It was my once a year fix to catch up with people I dont normaly bump into. Guys like TM Bill  ;D

Where would you like it to be held Mick?

Contrary to popular belief that he had taken up his ancestral rite as Head Chief of the Waitangi Treaty Ground Trust, TMBill was last sighted underwater flag pole painting in the middle of Lake Tahoe. Grave doubts as to his re-emergence 8)

Ted that guy is dead and buried  :) he died a miserable death as he drowned in bureaucratic bullshit and disappointment

However William or Bill if you prefer is alive and taking flagpole painting bookings for the next big flood  :)

So

Classic dirt events are IMHO the best VMX events period  :)

The formula ticks all the boxes and as Mick says its an opportunity to catch up with people you don't normally see during the year .

I have been fortunate to go to CDs in NSW , Vic and Qld , but my preferred venue is without doubt Connondale .

I missed CD 9 due to other commitments and CD 10 was a non starter for me for the same reason.

The event is at the end of the day a commercial venture and the organisers need the support to run the events . I have always believed that the cost of entering and everything associated with the event ( as a rider /camper / partyier has been too cheap . Compared to competitive events ( particularly  the Nats ) the event is an absolute bargain and probably still the best value for money VMX event even if it was twice the price .

I hope it goes ahead this year , but am happy to wait until I hear one way or the other from the organisers . I will plan my VMX schedule around it if and when its announced .
