TM250 Heads and mods
« on: February 25, 2014, 04:52:18 pm »
Does anyone know if there are any differences between 72-73 and 74-75 TM250 heads other than the fin layout?  Squish or combustion chamber volume? Does one cool better than the other?  Also does anyone have any experience with reworking the head or porting on the 72-73?  Wondering if there is much to gain or the results.  Just some curiosity I have.

Absolutely no difference in performance in all aspects. If you want to up the compression a bit on either of the heads mentioned, your best increase to performance would be to deck the by 10mm and advance the timing a couple of degrees. My 2 cents
