Tony,  TM250 is the 1 you need. They pivot at the bottom and tuck in much better ;)

Thanks Doc,
I figured you'd know for sure.  ;D
Have you tried 250ER?
Just thought that might be easier to get. And cheaper....  8)

Not sure of the 250ER spline size sorry Tony. Could be an alternative ;)

Ok, now I'm confused..... (more) :(
I thought my 1974 TS250 has a coarse spline......
The shaft is about 19mm in diameter with about 18 splines? I didn't take my glasses out to the shed, so it could be one either way.

Tony .... if you have the course spline you can fit all of the late model kickers  ie   Pe  Rm  Dr Sp   and so on.
The benefit of doing this is as Doc has explained they pivot at the spline knuckle , to add insult I think these will clash with your up pipe  ;)  due to the fact you have a up pipe which will not allow the lever to fold inwards....  if you get my drift
What distance do you have from your spline to underside of pipe and I will check my array of kickers to see what matches

That crossed my mind too.
I've got about 210mm from the centre of the kickstart shaft to the bottom edge of the pipe.
I can get my hands on a 'kit' pipe for it, but the resulting ground clearance reduction and no side stand will be a disadvantage 'if' it ends up getting Vinduro or trail use.  :(
Not as simple as I thought.
Thanks to all for the suggestions and advice. :D

yup, Stew is on the money  ;)  PE250B/C RM250/370/400 and DR should all have the same coarse spline.

The later N and T models are the same size but mounted via a bolt into the shaft not a pinch bolt so these are a no go.

The RM400C kicker which is more or less typical fits ok but it does hit the exhaust when it's folded in.  Even so it tucks in way better than std. The only real issue I think you'll have is the damn thing will rattle against the pipe ::)

Will have another look tomorrow and try and post some pics showing the interference  ;)

The bike is definitely a great example of form following function, so another dent here and there won't make any difference.  8)

Thanks Stewart. Flick me a pm or email if you've got a spare.

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
