Didnt get the e-mail.

$4k for a PE400?

It should come with a Lola... as in her name is Lola and she love to wash your bike and perform sex acts on the new owner.

Being serious, is it absolutely perfect?

Thanks,
Mark

The bike is a supposedly unheard of PE400 Z. All I know about the bike is that it was owned by Geoff Eldridge who got it from Suzuki Australia where it had been a test/evaluation bike. The story I was told is that they pulled the plug on releasing the PE Z at the last minute because the American marketing people demanded a single shocked bike to take on the IT Yamaha and other bikes with more advanced suspension and styling. This particular bike was then parked up the back of the warehouse and forgotten. Geoff was killed after he got it and his lady Vicki hung the bike on the wall along with all of Geoffs other bikes at ADBs old Warriewood office where it stayed for a number of years until the magazine was sold. Ray Ryan then too control of Geoffs collection and the bike was shipped to Perth to eventually be part of a proposed dirt bike museum. The Ray unfortunately died and Bernie Ellis and myself ended up buying the bike in the clearance auction.
The PE is in totally unrestored condition and is missing only the gauges and rear taillight which would be easily found on eBay or through the Suzuki boys club network. The plastic bodyparts are slightly faded on the left side where it faced the sun while hanging on the wall. We have never even ridden it. The reason for the "silly" 4k price tag is that unknown to me Bernie was offered that much at CD5 but he was holding out for 5k after a number of Suzuki anals and some forum members kept telling him (and I) how rare it is. Quite frankly, to me it's just another PE Suzuki but if it's such a rare item, 4 k for a rare bike bike in no need of restoration seems pretty reasonable.

Good question Mark, I'm pretty sure it has but let me check and I'll get back to you. It's at Bernies house and he's in Bangkok on business and will be home tomorrow. I'll check then.
