They don't come up very often and when they do, they seem to go for a lot of money....good luck finding one.

Probably been answered before but can a B40/44 head be adapted to fit?

You could try EV Engineering in the states.I've found Ed to be a great guy to deal with and he supplied every part I needed for my BSA rebuild.I'd be trying him for a cylinder head.

Short answer would be no. You'll find a B50 head but it will take time and it will cost you money. If you were to attempt fitting a B44 head, the amount of machining involved to bring it up to B50 specs would probably set you back even more money.
