I don't particularly like the wheels that come with the car, 1990's style Cragar Pro Star drag race wheels (bottom photo). Like on my bikes I prefer to use period stuff on my cars so I've just bought this set of 7"x15 front/8.5"x15 rear American Racing 'Daisy' wheels.

The big ute will look great with the American Racers on it Mark. Is it going to wear the dreaded, "sideways any time" BF Goodrich's as well?

Any car over 25 years doesn't need to be converted. Yeah Tim, I'll probably bring it to Broadford all things being OK.
Left hand drive isn't the problem you'd think Stiggy. It took me about 2 minutes of driving for the left and right sides of my brain to adjust to everything being the opposite to what I'm used to.
The only real difficulty is in not having a clear view when passing but that can be solved by dropping back a little to get a broader perspective of whats coming the other way and to see what gaps are available in front of whatever you're passing. Anyone who's driven an LHD rental car in the USA or Europe will tell you that it's a simple transformation.

I gave up waiting for you to weaken and sell me your Chevy Jay ;D. In retrospect I don't think I could afford the fuel bill on the 454! Yeah, I don't like those Cragar Pro Star drag style wheels, when I first saw the Ranchero it had cool period Cragar S/S wheels but he swapped them over to his '65 Mustang and I got the Pro Stars. I've liked American Daisy wheels since I had them on my 64 Nova SS in the old days and that set came up for the right price so I had to buy them. I reckon they'll suit the car perfectly.

You've got a '59 El Camino Russell? I came close to buying one about 10 years ago with a 400 small block and turbo 400. I was talked out of buying  it by my mate and have bloody regretted it ever since. That's my favourite El Camino. You could land a helicopter in the back of a '59
