Something isn't right.  I had a new KTM 600 (540) in 1984, it had white power USD forks and TLS drum brakes front and rear.  Is this bike original.

83 had the disk but 84 had the USD forks and at the time they did not make USD with caliber disk brackets. Some would argue that the conventional front end and disk is better.

Yes it's original, '83 had conventional forks and disc front end, '84 went to USD forks with drum brakes......so technically a '84 KTM USD front end is EVO legal...just saying.. ;D

Yes there was an MX one. It had a reverse cone/super trap style muffler. The enduro has the big ham can style. I have one of each, I thought one had an aftermarket muffler. I found an old Dirt bike magazine test and they featured both models and the MX  had the same muffler as mine does.

i bought a 84 600? (not going suit repair) from this guy a couple of years ago and now it explains why when i got it the engine bolts etc were only finger tight.i would say it is a fair bet that the 500cc engine in my bike is the one out of that frame.no probs with the guy i paid a fair price and am very happy with the bike.
