Here's another one. When I was a student paramedic I was assiduously listening to a patients breathing with my stethoscope. Couldn't hear a bloody thing worried I looked across to the patients family and my clinical instructor who were clearly amused by something. What's wrong with them I thought?  This is no laughing matter, show a bit of respect I thought. Then the awful truth dawned on me. I DIDNT HAVE THE STETHOSCOPE IN MY EARS! That was 15 years ago do you reckon I ever lived that one down. J

couple of years ago big comeback ride at denman vinduro after far too many years came into the camp after a couple of very  'hot laps' , meaning outside temperature and body heat not quick at all ,  trying to wrestle a 76 husky auto around ripped the helmet off seen the creaming soda next to the esky ripped the lid of 3-4 big sculls , to realise 30 wt oil ,  my date has never been the same since.
lesson dont put oil in cordial bottles especially the same as one in the esky  :-[

I went to another local riding area a few years back.

I unloaded the bike then found I’d left my helmet at home. I reloaded the bike and drove back home, got my helmet and returned to riding area.
Unloaded the bike again, got my helmet out than found I’d left the rest of my riding gear at home.
Reload the bike, pack the helmet away return home and collect the missing gear.
This time I had everything and even though I only lived 15 minutes from where I was riding all those trips had taken up so much time I only got a 20 minute ride in.

But I did at least have petrol that time…………….

A couple of things :-[

My CZ was hard to start and blubbered badly. All the usual checks (including the rag in the inlet trick) to no avail and my race fast approaching. Bit the bullet and pulled the carb to clean it.....ummm, where's the pilot jet? Ooops.

The bloody CZ again. It would fire but not start. Check this, that and everything. I suppose the exhaust bung should have been in the toolbox and not in the chamber if I was planning on riding the bike.......

And yes, I've gargled with Dettol instead of Listerine..........
WANTED. Canams;all models,complete or parts.SWM stuff too!
