MK3 matador forks
« on: February 14, 2014, 09:43:00 am »
I am hoping someone can enlighten me . My newly acquired Matador MK3 front forks dont seem to have a dampening rod in them like my other bultacos do . As well as that; the fork caps are not threaded so the rods can screw into them. Are they supposed to have dampening rods or is the dampening done in some different way ? p
what ! Who me ? Nah

Should be Dampening rods bolted to the sliders, old school style.
Unlike modern forks they are not attached to the cap. (if that is what you were looking for?)

If you don't have dampening rods don't wheelie it or your front end will fall out!!

Thanks Dave, I thought it was strange not having the dampening rods ; Lucky for me I have spares . {somewhere] I'll try not to do wheelies until I get it fixed.p
