Neil Head the starter and pit official at Amaroo Park during the tracks glory days including the formative Mr Motocross years died of cancer on Friday. Neil was a great bloke who went into deep depression after his son died in an accident back in the mid 80's. We managed to get him out to Amaroo for the first VMX at Easter 88 where he had a ball and couldn't help but take over and work the starts for us. Sadly the depression deepened and we could never tempt him back.
