montesa cota spark plug gap
« on: December 26, 2013, 07:21:03 am »
Hi everyone , I am having trouble with my 1974 montesa cota 172 . It seems to have a weak spark . I have cleaned all the earthing points , put in a new plug , put in a new condenser [A car type from a Torana } cleaned and gapped the points and still it has a weak spark . Can someone tell me the correct gap for the spark plug . Any and all help will be appreciated.p

for 1970s points ignition, 0.4 - 0.5 mm is good for plug gap

Is the connection between the plug lead and the plug cap OK?
