Just heard from ACTMCC and they tell me that MA has officially awarded them the 2014 Australian CLASSIC Dirt Track Titles to be held on the 27th/ 28th September, it's not a long weekend, however it's in the school holidays. I hope the Supp Regs come out shortly, the Club tells me that they applied for the Classic titles only.

Gotta get the Gally XT sorted for this one !!

So much for no split . Pitty they never let people know eairler , another club may have put in for the post classic . I think its time classic dirt track comm had a good look at all these age groups in both pre75 and evo as there is never enough entries , it seems to put clubs off running both .If they are going to keep going down this track how about opening up pre78 so that pre75 can ride up a class ?

Can my 1977 Godden Mk 1 Weslake run in the Pre 78 0pens as there is not a category for Pre 78 sliders? Even happy to run in with the Pre 75s and not be scored but can't see that happening. Seems weird that I could have bought a 77 440 Maico and ride it at the classic dt, but can't enter my slider?
If it has to run Pre 90 at a Post Classic then it can just stay in the shed.

if its a pre 78 bike ie 1977 build you can run in the pre78 open class.unless the gcrs from the club say you cant but ma rules say you can.

Thanks for the replies I was staring to get pissed Id spent a few thousand in the wrong direction. At 56 just want a ride and certainly won't be at the pointy end. Been in mx, dt and speedway since 73 and in VMX since 92, and it just all seems way harder now with all the rules. Guess I can start working on the rear sprocket cover now! Hahaha

How are the preparations going at Canberra for the 2014 titles? Just thought I'd ask as this
thread seems to have shit it's self. The bloke from Temora last year kept everybody up to date
with proceedings. A bit of interest and feed back would be good. Might even try and hitch a ride
up to watch the Mexicans kick some arse!!
