DT/RT aftermarket Pipes
« on: June 07, 2008, 07:53:11 pm »
I've been scanning the ebay (who hasn't) for a pipe and some other bits to finish off my recently acquired RT project (only got a frame and motor so far). All of the old aftermarket pipes i have seen listed say that they suit 250's aswell as RT360's.  Is this the case ?  I just thought the bigger engine would need a bigger pipe or at least larger diameter at the header.  I doubt i would ever buy one  because they go for $200-$300 plus postage, but thought i would ask the question just in case.  Any help would be appreciated.

                  Cheers,             JED

i've got the RT1 and as far as i know both pipes are interchangable.
mine runs  a pipe from the RT2 with all the guts/baffles/mesh removed with a short stinger pipe into a shortened PE silencer. feels like pre-70 power to me.

I've got  GYT pipes for both my RT1 and DT1 and they're identical.
