AIR FILTERS.which is best

hi
i have no airbox for my dt360.i am using a carb from yz400 38mm 380main 70 pilot ect ect.i have a speedwat k&n filter which is a bit knocked about.now comes the question ????????????????????????
should i buy the k&n cleaner kit and use it or buy a uni pod filter and use it.the bike will be riden on a dust dirt track at nepean.i have purchaced a mx360 air box in the usa but it wont be here in time for me to use.

I had to make the same decision this year with the TDR250.
I had been using K&Ns for road racing but decided to fit two stage UNIs for Dirt Track.
I left the UNIs on at the next road race meeting at Eastern Creek and did not notice any performance loss compared to the K&Ns.
So I'll stick with the UNIs.

Let's say that your speedway filter does a shit job of filtering fine talcum power size dust, where the oiled foam will catch this

A K&N is an excellent filter... if you're only interested in screening out large rocks, and small children.

If you hold a properly oiled K&Nup to the light, you'll be horrified at how many significantly sized holes you'll be able to see. Do the same with any decnt foam filter, and you'll be (un)lucky to see a single hold of the same size.
