KX250 A5 exhaust options

Given the difficulty in finding an original KX250 A5 exhaust, would one from an 80, 81 or 82 model work?  Geoff makes an 82 one.  Its going in a KLX frame so I realise some making to fit will probably be required.

I have 3 spare, not in perfect condition, swap one for slab  :-)
