trick DT1 frame on eBay
« on: November 09, 2013, 01:42:36 pm »
For anyone wanting to build a DT1 for pre 70, this frame mod is the single most beneficial mod you'll ever do. Unless you're handy with a hacksaw and a tig or oxy welder, this is a lot cheaper than paying someone to do your frame. It's a pity he's split the swingarm from it.

This is a 69 DT1MX frame. It has been modified by dropping the engine down two inches for better handling. One of the best mods you do to a DT1 racer. The work looks very professional. Nice looking welds. I have inspected the frame and found one minor crack on the bracket that the keyed ignition switch fits. It is between the tank mount and key switch. Easy fix and its parcially hidden by the fuel tank. No cracks found on the tubing. The exhaust mount looks to have been beefed up. The lower coil bracket and kick stand are included as they fit the modified frame. Overall a great up grade for your mx or dirt track bike.
