Just talking in another thread about some of Geoff Morris's creations being works of art. Here is a two into one stainless exhaust, that he did for a Husky 510 project of mine. I haven't got to try it out yet, but it sure is pretty to look at. It probably won't make as much power as the standard twin system , that Husky obviously would have spent a lot of R & D time on to come up with the best power. But the standard system wouldn't have fit on this bike anyway.

Geoff has made a few pipes for me as well as modified frames , the term master of metal is what comes to mind with his work . Iain

Just out of curiosity Jeff, how much in Aussie dollars is the Husky 510 motor under the bench and why does it have two lots of numbers on the price tag ? I assume these prices are in Swedish (Krona ?), as it I copied this image from OL490's pictures of Linkoping, in the photo forum section.

Hi Mark,  $2167.43 Australian the other is Krona. They are not a cheap mob to buy parts off and they don't haggle i found that out !! If you want i can get it next year? Jeff

The same guy had a CR500 ,1982 mod for 1100 Euros with a few broken fins.

Mark, why wouldn't the standard Husky twin exhaust fit? What frame are you using?

What diam are the 2 single exhausts and the main collector ?
I paid aus $ 1210 for a 85-510 twinshock with a second motor but it was in last century (1999).

      The standard 510 exhaust wouldn't have fitted without a fair bit of modification because I used an '84 WR400 twinshock frame. These frames are dime a dozen, because the original WR400 motors had corrosion problems with the magnesium clutch covers at the water-pump. An original '83/'84 TE510 frame is much harder to find. Plus, because the standard twin pipes on the 510 go over the top shock mounts on each side, it makes the back of the bike wider and you feel like you are bow legged when riding one standing on the pegs. Also the pipes melt the sidepanels on each side, because there is not a lot of clearance. There is a lot more room for the 4 stroke pipe and muffler on the left side of the WR frame, because it had the tail end of the expansion chamber there originally.
      I wish that I could find a few '83/'84 Husky 510s for $2000 each, as in my opinion, they are one of the few Evo class bikes that can go close to matching it with a Maico 490 (if set up properly).

Michel, from memory, the size of the smaller pipes is 35mm and the larger pipe is 42mm. I am away with work at the moment, but can check the sizes when I get home if you want. I should also mention that the original idea for this 2 into 1 exhaust was not my own, as there are many different versions on 510s, that I have seen pictures of on the internet. The one that I liked the most though, was done by a bloke called "Svensbike", on the Le guide Verte forum. I contacted him to see if I could buy a copy of his exhaust from him. He said no, but said it was ok to get a copy made.

I didn't see clearly if the main collector was bigger.
So you gave me the answer.
Is there a physical law for the diam of 2 single going into one big collector?
Because I've seen collector and single exhaust with the same diam.
Sure it doesn't work well like that.

I know svensbike, he works well.
