watching the old vids I recone suspension performance has gone backwards. the old bikes most of the time jump in a streight line, todays bikes are always sideways when in the air. Must be bad suspension kicking ;D

Surprised to see a 4 stroke (CCM?) racing in the 1979 500 GP in Italy. Bob Wright I think they said in the video. Thought the 2 stroke domination was complete by then....goes to show it wasn't at GP level at least. Thanks for the links Bill

Gerrit Wolsink is still practicing dentistry. For a country of only 5 million Finland has had World Champions in nearly every form of motorsport.
Nice find Bill

Jim Aim ?

Bob Wright always gave it everything on the track , he achieved so much more than was believed possible on a bike thats origins lay in the 60s . He was always one of my favorite riders , a machine on the track but a very humble and quitely spoken man off the track .

Love those older film productions! They seem more entertaining than modern epics, probably 'cos thet were produced by Champion plugs, Castrol Films etc.

Reminds me of the Castrol "Six of the best' and the like.

  cheers.
dont follow me i'm probably off line!
