sc500 gearbox

All you Yamaha gurus , will a DT2 250 5 speed go into a SC500 gear housing . I measured the casings and they are the same width

I have since found out SC500 and dt/mx 360 are the same , are these the same as DT II 250
If in doubt ,WIND IT OUT

The 74 model DT250/360 box and the silver or yellow model MX250/360
Should all swap around with each other and the big SC500 no problems
At all.
Other models can be made to work also but may differ in the shift fork/drum
area ...

Ive heard the go is the dt gears for dirt track and mx gears for motocross . its the 360 clusters you are after the shafts are different to the 250's . the 360 's will bolt in fine the balancer has to come out though . Iain
