Anyone in Eltham Vic - part pick up?
« on: October 17, 2013, 08:00:09 pm »
Ladies and gentleman, there's a big, fat road bike seat on eBay that I want but the seller won't post.
Would there be anyone out there that might be willing to collect and post to me in exchange for cash, beer, Barossa reds or anything else you can think of?

PS I tried asking the seller if they would post but got no reply.
PPS I'll pay the postage plus the extra for your trouble, of course.
Thanks

Grew up in Eltham till I got married Tony* ,still have a sister in law and brother in law there. If KB is unable will get them to pick up and bring to me .(They also have a house in Elmore and commute regularly.)

*Old home is now gone and  a Railway station carpark...

Eltham High    full of artsy fartsy weed smoking drop out drongos (like my sister...)...... Real switched on community leaders went to Watsonia Technical School ! (of course the fact that it was a male only school may have posed a problem or seventeen hundred and fifty three for your beloved wife.....) ;)

Oh yeah um excuse the ravings of misspent youth.. great you have sorted the business Tony :)

70 till early 74 Viperman, Then was asked politely to leave..* ( like Piss off ya shit now!).... Picked up a local newspaper on the seat of the train home ,and found a position vacant for an apprentice chef at the Eltham Barrel restaurant. Run to the joint and the owner gave me the job on the spot as he was impressed with my endeavour. ( Actually I was shitting bricks mum would rip head off and crap down the hole in my throat for getting expelled..... instead when I told her I got an apprenticeship she nearly squeezed the living poo out of me with hugs. (started next day,  and yes I am a qualified chef...

* I was blamed for blowing out the shithouse windows in the quadrangle with timing device fitted fire crackers during  school assembly..

(Dumb bastards, wasn't firecrackers at all ,was railway line detonators we had pinched and battery/alarm clock wired ::)

Hey Tony, can you stop interrupting our nostalgia trip with your freight woes ;D :D ditto ya bugger :D

Not me , heresy (truth more like it...) was insurance job so they could sub divide the land for housing estates >:(       Amazing the insurance paid not to rebuild but to convert the acreage to housing estates.......
