No they have no early records and are not interested in looking spoke to them last year.
What is it you need to know?

84 Huwiller+ Huwiller put the first single cylinder 2stroke into a light weight MSA frame. Try face book
84 EML  jumbo twin shocks and 85 single shocks started to appear later in the year. The earlier air cooled jumbos where initially put into twin shock frames which where for XS motors. but I'm sure some air cooled motors found there way into the new single shock frames.
For Zabel info try there web site and dropping a line to Flriedhelm who is still in charge
Frame numbers would appear to be the number on the production line followed by the year in my example 1690
However I have it on good authority that often the frames where sold without numbers so that an old frame number could be stamped into a new frame to avoid customs duty in the old days of border control in Europe

There was an aircooled Jumbo EML imported to WA and it is stamped '94 on the headstem. It could have been a pre production unit...if that is possible from such a small concern.
It now resides in Qld and has a Yamaha XS750 in it.
You looking for a pre90 Shelpi, give Popeye a call.

sorry Tim...yes '84.
Henny, the maker of EML was quite eccentric and could come up with some amazing stuff. His two boys are still in charge of EML sidecarcross frames however they have sold the other side, road going outfits and trikes to another concern.

The dark side of the handling and suspension Lords are seizing control of Shelpi!
