84 KX250 suspension rocker arm bearing removal

I'm changing the bearings in my suspension and am about to press out the bearings in the suspension rocker arm (between the uni strut and the shock) and I've noticed that there appears to be a spacer between the two bearings.  I got new bearings from the local bearing shop (same as the swingarm) and a nos sleeve off ebay.

Am I to assume that this spacer is not fixed and I can just press both bearings and the spacer out, from one side all the way through to the other?

I have done 5 or 6 of these on 82 to 86 models and have found the easiest way is to use a dremel to grind thru bearing case as they are pretty thin.  Grind a narrow groove into the bearing case and then crack it.  The spacer in most rocker arms is fixed in place, only once have I found that it came out.

I've ground through the top of the bearing case and got out the bearings and the cage and I still have to get out the case. 

Do I just try to grind/cut through it without going into the actual rocker arm?  Don't know if I'm that good    What are you using to cut it with, I'm just using the cutting disc. Would one of the tungsten carbide cutters that look like big matchstick be better?

I use a small cylindrical grinding wheel on the dremel to grind a small groove into the shell

Well that made it a lot easier.  Cut one out and them drove the other out.  Spacer wasn't fixed.  Give it a clean up and put nice shiny new bearings in
