Relocated race HQ.
« on: October 14, 2013, 09:48:38 am »
Because a very sick old mum in hospital and other sideshows have eaten up much of the last couple of weeks, I've fallen a tad behind in getting the bikes prepped for the Nats and it was starting to really annoy me.  1 was only getting an hour here or there to throw a spanner at them so it came to a head last Thursday when the thermometer hit 44 degrees in the shed. I got home from the hospital in the heat of the afternoon and not wanting to delve into a hot shed, I made the brilliant decision to move the Cheney into the air conditioned house. I've comfortably set up shop in the family room at the rear of the house where I managed to get a shitload done yesterday while watching Bathurst on the big screen. It's just me and Reggie the Jack Russell home right now (and he's sworn to secrecy) so I might just get away with it if no one dobs me in.  ;D

She'll smell it the moment she gets home.....same as if you had some cheap floosy around getting up to mischief....your a brave man taking on a 90 year old....make sure you've got some mates around when she comes home and remember flowers ALWAYS work when it comes to the female species. ;D. Seriously mate, I hope her stay in the clink is not to long. Tell her to get well soon....The rabbits need her.

Sorry to read about your mum Mark. Hope all works out for the best there. I'm sure Reggie won't dob you in, as long as he gets some treats and gets to sit wherever he wants. Just means you have to get your finger out to get the Cheney finished before mum gets home!
What a great race it was yesterday. The final 30 laps were some of the best bathurst laps I've seen in a long time. Shame that Lowndes got held up trying to get past Bright.

Arrogance.....A way of life for the those that having nothing further to learn.

Put some food in the oven and burn the living sh*t out of it. The smell of burnt food covers bike smells pretty well.
I got busted as my wife new I was up to something as I had cooked, a rare occurence.

Hope your mum is ok

Just remember to open the window before you fire it up and get a towel from the bathroom to catch all of that oil blubber from the exhaust, even a few work socks doubled up can do the trick.

Finally finished the Cheney and fitted Tony Clarkes number 91......except for the dodgy ignition which I'll fix up there.....time to load up and skedaddle. I'll tidy the family room when I get back ;D

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
