Because a very sick old mum in hospital and other sideshows have eaten up much of the last couple of weeks, I've fallen a tad behind in getting the bikes prepped for the Nats and it was starting to really annoy me. 1 was only getting an hour here or there to throw a spanner at them so it came to a head last Thursday when the thermometer hit 44 degrees in the shed. I got home from the hospital in the heat of the afternoon and not wanting to delve into a hot shed, I made the brilliant decision to move the Cheney into the air conditioned house. I've comfortably set up shop in the family room at the rear of the house where I managed to get a shitload done yesterday while watching Bathurst on the big screen. It's just me and Reggie the Jack Russell home right now (and he's sworn to secrecy) so I might just get away with it if no one dobs me in.
