1975 RH250 Suzuki For Sale
« on: September 27, 2013, 12:15:40 PM »
Well, I was going to put a for sale sign on my RH at CD10... it's now Friday the 27th of September and CD10 isn't on.  :(

Time has come to let her go to someone who deserves her more than I.  There is a box of spares which includes some of the trick magnesium bits.  If someone is interested, I will get it out and find out exactly what is included  ::)

So here she is:

"Serious Offers Invited"  No tyre kickers please...  if you are interested in buying an RH Suzuki, you will know approximately what they are worth, so don't be foolish and make a stupid lowball offer.  I won't be giving it away!  ;D

All correspondence to be either by PM or email.

If no-one on OzVMX is interested in this, it will go to eBay.

Correct.  He sold it to a guy in Sydney, who then sold it to me about 7 years ago.  ;)

I understand that Barry used to race it.  8)

I remember checking this bike out, some years ago at a VMX meeting outside Auckland, when I was on an NZ holiday. It seemed to be a fast bike, but I also remember it being very loud, with a high pitch exhaust note.

Yeah, the 1975 RH250 represents to me the cutting edge of MX design and true start of the evolution towards modern MX bikes.

The main reason I am selling it is that it is a pity to have it not out there on a track somewhere.  Maybe the buyer will still not ride it, maybe he will.  I know that I cannot.  :(

Whatever someone will pay i guess  :) that is probably the nicest RH250M out there , Barry spent a lot of money building it with lots of NOS parts . It has the optional remote res shocks , you would struggle to find a better example IMO.

Im with mick they are my favorite Suzuki model of the 70s  :)

They were going for around 15k a few years back when a couple changed hands. I'd like to think they're still worth that.
I've got a restored one that's never been ridden since the resto...

I can't see the sense in riding the bike, if it fits into 'Pre 78' (with the suspension travel), there are many other bikes that are just as competitive, that aren't going to depreciate as much and are a lot cheaper to buy, and easier to find spares for!

Something as beautiful as that has to stay indoors.

Yes John, that is a very valid sentiment too.  But you know, sometimes boys will be boys!  ;D
