H6 Seal holder screws
« on: September 17, 2013, 05:45:02 am »
Hi All
On an H6 or late Cappra motor, Should the six countersunk screws holding each crank seal housing in place be secured with loctite?
Thanks
David

I don't know if they should be, but I loctite them.

originally they had countersunk lock washers that you can not get for love nor money. I loctite them but with the weakest grade as getting them out is a bitch if you round the head. I usually replace the original slotted screws with countersunk allen head screws which are easier to drill off if required.
