With the drizzle set in.We packed our picnic for the Bridgetown Scramble on the superbly viewed grass track.
Arrived at 10am through the hills and lush green paddocks.A sea of campers all snuggled into the area, with three rows neatly set out and the fourth on the boundary fence. Families ,mates and couples are keen for a day on the vmx hill.
96 riders.that sums up a good sunday..going to be some awesome skids and slid photo up after this.
After dropping in and seeing the riders along the pit lanes it was time for a coffee from the mobile van.
The start line had been moved from last year further south, so the spectators could get the best view and sights of what vmx was all about. I walked this spectator's line and only met two or three whom I knew.
It showed that locals and newbee's where around today.
Good grids of each class lined up, with two juniors also on the race program. Dads and kids all happy
With the light drizzle it made the track slimy and slick. Even though the berms where shaping up, this drizzle didn't seem to help traction. Not to be detrude the riders keep at it with a new clean jersey or rain coat. Rossvickiecampbell country
The girls busily sewed the undies up for the Pony Express looked like a sweat shop without the sweat and all other official's busy at a fast walking pass to keep the event on even keel.
Top effort people.
Another Classic day out with bikes from 60's to 90's having a superb time, so I highly suggest you keep Bridgetown Grass Tracks epic event on your OzVMX Calender.
cheers A
