I thought I'd start a new thread after today's devastating news, I don't want to aim any of my criticisms at anyone personally.
I'm thinking that if I am feeling a certain way then others (not necessarily on this forum) may also be feeling it.
After all of this years cancellations I am not going to commit to attending future events, I know that is not the best for the sport but I am sure others will feel this way and we need to combat this line of thinking for future events to work outside of Qld.
As I said in the CD10 thread, the event has to run, be it at a lower level or whatever, for the event to ever get off the ground again. Overheads have to be reduced and/or those entered hit with a surcharge just to make the event happen.
After hearing of such a great CD9, did the promoter plan for something larger financially and was committed for a large entry?
Just as any business, the outgoings must be matched to the income, even if only 10 riders were coming just get one portable dunny and that would be it?
For me to commit to a future event, I would want a guarantee before I booked accomodation, hire vehicles, flights and time off work.
