wow if he wants 350 for that Im rich . For whats there I would offer $50 and think that was a bit much . And where the F do they get YZ250 or YZ360 from . If these clowns keep it up they will be dropping the DT soon and just call them YZ's  .Iain

I think it is worth something like that. First DT with reed valve, no tank badges. Don't see many DT2's (correctly named) around and if you started with this it shouldn't be too hard to build it up. At least you know what you are getting and not paying much for it. It is easy to pay way too much for a bike that is said to have everything done to it, then find out the truth.

It's an RT2....A 360. It's probably worth $3250 to someone who wants one but not a razoo more.

He says it has a standard 70mm bore. Doesn't this make it a 250? I know the tank colour is RT2.

doesn't look too at bad at all inside. Interesting though is that it has the advance retard flywheel on [think one model only RT1 trail piston port 360 or RT1MX], expanding the pic you can see the spring is missing or is it just the end of it showing by the hook eye waiting to wreck the coils when turned!!. Looks like would get going pretty easy or good starting point for a project. If you can find my pics think i showed that type flywheel on my RT1 rat bike.
Talking of rat bikes--my bikes "rattier than yours"--picked up an HT1--90cc for $100 [all original he said--could possibly say that BUT]. Dangers of buying something sight unseen. I'n saying that i get off--sorry, i'll re-phrase that, 'get my kicks' from getting something like this running when it should be binned. Got it started yesterday minus rusted out exhaust & has full com & smooth to turn over. In the words of [ebay adds] 'put fuel in & it started right up. Tanks so rusted on outside that i lightly hand wire brushed a spot & the 30 year old [bloody stinking] fuel fell out--can't get rid of the smell!!. Pics will follow sometime. Thanks. ps, talking of 'binned', got a honda 50 [pushrod] out of a skip once & had it running that day--slowly grew compression, no smoke & sounded like umm an alky burning B31 from old days racing up the road with just the header pipe. Still did [little] wheelies like we used to by holding heel on the toe/heel gear lever then letting her go--just like we used to around town in the early "60's, had one for a tow bike at work. Usual thing was to start like that at the traffic lights & leave the passenger standing on the spot. Never get away with that now days--bring back the "60's. Reminds me of Pete Ploen push starting a Mach!! [first fast one], fired up & went past our shop around the corner from his--sitting side saddle with it clearing & already wheelying as he climbed on--bet he could still do that haha. Sorry remenising again. Carry on.

That old stale fuel smell lingers for months...hate it when we get an old vintage car in at work and you drain everything, only to have the workshop stink for months.

Last week I sold an old CZ coffin tank that had been in my garden shed for 20 years full of petrol/Catrol TT mix. When we pulled the cap off the smell was bloody toxic and today, a week later the smells still lingering.
