Will the Evo 263 to 1300 class be run as it should be (No 250s !!!!!!!)  Really this class should be called the 500 class not open class. Using the word open just make riders think they can race anything. Also I don't like the term "chook chasers" it is something road bike riders say because they are useless on dirt. I have never seen anyone chasing chooks on a MX bike.

I think they make a call on the day depending on how many have entered the classes KTM47.  What do you have against Evo 250's??

I have nothing against Evo 250s, but they belong in their class only. If the club doesn't want to follow the sup-regs go ahead, but expect a protest. If 250s can ride in the 263 to 1300 class why can't 500 ride down in the 250 or even 125 class. Anyway Echo Valley is a 500 track, just look at the Mountain Man MX winners list.

Me, Pete, big Adam and Kevvy are going to watch the Nats there in 2 weeks time, it's also a reconasonce to see how many mods we need them to make to the track for our VMX meet and of course the first Post Classic Nats next year around Easter. Any of you southerners want to come and ride your more than welcome.

Davey, I went to a Sunstate round there a while back and outside of getting them to leave the water (too much water) off the track I see it as a goer as it is. Don't like them rollers also but it is what it is.

They had the pits running up the main entry road and had plenty of room. I see people pitted as far up as the top of the hill and what a great spot to watch from.

Put me down for 1x hard lap, 1x medium lap and 1x heavier breathing lap (just don't tell me they are four lappers!!)

A new track is still the same track, they just link a couple of sections differently. It hasn't changed much since the 70's and has some doubles and whoops added to it.

We ran the sidecar spectacular there a couple of years back and raced everything from peewee minis to modern A grade outfits with 700cc Zable engines and they all loved it. No mods to the track then however I've been told it's even more open and flowing now than it was then.....so bring it on, and make it 20 mins plus a lap too LOL

We ran some ThunderX rounds at Toowoomba in the past it is a great venue.

Hmmmm, I thought that was the difference between a 263-1300 Class (or 263-500 or whatever) and an Open Class..

125 class is up to 125cc (plus whatever overbore allowance is deemed acceptable, so 131cc)
250 class is for bike between 132 and 263cc  (i.e. 200 and 250cc bikes)
500 class is for 263 to 525cc
and 263 to 1300 was Unlimited....  (no upper limit to the capacity)
Open was open for all capacities - Mr Motocross was an Open Class event for example..

Tony the Unlimited class was where you could ride 125/250/500, back in the 70's/80's we often raced A & B unlimited where you could ride any size bike. Open class is 263cc-1300cc. People are confusing the two. An open class bike has always been a 500.

AND if you run "open class" you need a different coloured number plate. Just ask Donald Kuhn back at the titles< Maleny nineteen soaking wet it was, he rode a Bully 250 and entered and won the unlimited title but it was taken off him as he had the wrong colouered plates....like that mattered to anyone except the ACU.

Is that true Vaughn? Kuhn was a bloody good rider, shame he retired so early.
