VMXWA this weekend at Dandaloo Park, Narrogin
July 10, 2013

Another big field of Pre ’75 motocross solos and sidecars will be heading to Narrogin this weekend, when the Vintage Motocross Club of WA (VMXWA) runs its next race meeting at Dandaloo Park, on Sunday 14 July 2013. The club has been going from strength to strength this season with 50 plus riders turning up for their last event,  many of them bringing 2 or more machines along for competition. The Narrogin circuit is the club’s home track and is prepared to pristine condition for every meeting.

The feature class for this event is 4 strokes, which is always a crowd favourite and we expect to see bikes from the 1950’s and 60’s right through to 1974. That will include San Read’s (another ex-Claremont Speedway star) BSA B44, Gary Speak’s 500 ESO, Gary Johnson and Peter Lawson on the big british twins (650 BSA and 500 Triumph), Dave and Scott Lawson (CCM, Ariel, BSA) and hopefully father and son Peter and Dave McDonald (Velocette, BSA)  and a long list of XL Hondas from 125 cc up to 420 cc.

Once again the sidecar teams will be out in full force with Johnson/Depiazzi, Cook/Fletcher, Fanderlinden boys battling with one another and throw in Irving, Boston, Dillon, White and a few other outfits and there will be some nail biting 3 wheeled action to enjoy as well.

Spectator viewing at Narrogin is excellent. Facilities such as canteen, toilets, showers and free entry make it an enjoyable day for families or just a good reason for a Sunday drive or ride.

Join us this Sunday, everyone welcome. More details at www.vmxwa.com

Thanks Popeye..
Numbers are going well in pre75 this year, against the economy, garage queen rivalry or perhaps those financial advisors are just happy to stay under the doona at home in this cold weather  ;)  ;D
Which ever ~ all is well  8)   8)

And I'm stuck in Thailand, being forced to enjoy myself.  Though keeping up my riding skills in the very challenging Chiang Mai traffic.  But would still love to have been there
