What class a hybrid.

If using number of parts from different model bikes to build hybrid is it legal for pre 85 as long as very parts used if off bikes built prior to 1985?

Example. Suzuki 1977 twin shock frame, Honda 1981 41mm forks and twin pull drum brake hub, Yamaha 1980 model 500cc 4 stroke engine. Suzuki 1979/81 swingarm, Suzuki 1983 wheels.

The bike would be dated by the age of its newest major component, ie, 1980 Yamaha engine so it'd be legal for pre 85 and Evo I would assume.

Firko....If XT500 engine remained unchanged 1976 though to 1981 would that allow the engine to used pre 78 class even if it has 1981 engine number?  Like the 1975 CR125 is allowed in pre 75 because it was same as earlier year? If that was the case I do have the option of using earlier wheels, forks and swingarm to make pre 78 legal. Has the engine number thing been tested or is their already a ruleing on this.

Quicky you'd probably get away with pre 78 but the 41mm forks and twin leading brake would have to go.
