Do you think it's a scam!!

I certainly do.  Have been asking for any 1980 Mugen parts for my 250.  Received several emails from a David Blau - everything copy and pasted from my email into his.  When I was asked specifically what I wanted - this was copied and pasted also - including the spelling mistake.  He apparently is parting out this absolutely immacualte 1980 CR250 with the "requried" Mugen bits on it - exhaust, head, barrel, piston/rings - and has offered them for $300!!!

I would load up a picture of teh bike being parted but can't from here - suffice to say it is a mint looking unit.

Looks like one of these "too good to be true" efforts where someone users other peopls pics etc to sell the "sale".

about 4 months ago i was looking for a holden lx8 wagon.there was 1 add on gumtree local in my price range and klms.emails to and fror then the clanger. i have moved to darwin but can get the car shipped to me in sydney for 300.00 extra.i then knew it was a scam as he sent me bank acc details for payment.i then told him i have 3 freinds that live in darwin and i would get them to have a look.never heard back.
were is this guy someone might know somebody close say you want a mate to come and pick it up see what happens then.

Lozza - thanks - I was thinking of doing a bit of a search for exactly that.  Yes JO - my thoughts exactly - $300 get real - and yes Ally have been discussing slowly slowly with email but am over the novelty now.

I love playing them, more you waste their time , less time they got to scam others. I seen many great deals on Gumtree on bikes. Funny how they always are in Dawin , car or bike in Sydney, just divorced, ex wife in London, just wire me the money and pic it up. They must suck someone in or they would not do it.
Play them and get posting us, great entertainment.
After a while, there were so many too cheap bikes , I would just report them to gumtree straight away and they would be removed.

I have actualy got a pic of the infamous David Blau, he seems a very trustworthy person I don''t know why anyone doubts him. I must be lucky because he has a rare set of Rotax 258 cases for $300 as well.
