IS the two stroke still competitive against the four bangers and have we the public been sold a pup??
I see on utube a guy snapped up an old cr500 and raced it against his mates and gave them a run for their money.
he was 2nd in the last race until it suffered a small mech failure.
I don't think he did anything to it. the brake nipple undid from vibration and scuppered his day.
What if the suspension was sorted and the motor blueprinted?? how would he have gone?
considering a KTM 300 will sort a YZ 450 (up to about top gear) its a wonder more people arnt hitting the track on cheap 2ois.
A mate of mine was b grade 2011 kx 250 with lots of $$ spent and he changed to a 2008 cr 250 twoi and hit a grade.
I think there wil be a swing back to the lighter2 bangers bikes soon
