« on: July 02, 2013, 11:09:09 pm »
Hi guys n gals

I need to replace the fibre clutch plates in my 77 YZ250 and have found some on ebay but wanted to hear from others about their experiences with aftermarket plate kits.

Any experiences or recommendations?

Cheers
Simo

same as Doc.
i like to soak for a day or two in the same oil i'll be using before i fit them.
i think thats pretty standard proceedure with fibre plates anyway.

I have used genuine fibres on used genuine steels - good        in YZ250E
Barnett complete kit - good       in  YZ250 F
I soaked all of them in transmission fluid for a day before use...
I have a soft spot japanese mxers with aluminium tanks. Two stroke classic Dirt Track...
