1982 RM 465z Throttle housing

Hi,

This is my first post as i am a new member on the site.

I have an 1982 RM 465z (manufacture date 12/81) that was damaged by removalists during my recent relocation from Sydney to Melbourne.

Essentially the bike was dropped and when it landed, the throttle housing broke where the throttle cable outer screws into the housing.

I wanted to ask the community for any ideas as to where to start looking for a replacement. I have contacted Suzuki Australia and did not get too much help there given the age of the bike, understandable.

I have also been scanning ebay for the past few months without luck.

There has however been one or two of these advertised on ebay for the 125 or 250 or similar age, or for much newer models. Can anyone tell me if this part was common across different models (years)?

Any help will be appreciated.

G'day Brent, Someone on the forum might help you with one or I have got a lot of Suzuki OEM parts from this mob, http://www.partshark.com    reasonable prices and postage from the US and it looks like they have the part you need.

Hi Brent,
The complete housing is pretty common from your 82 model through to the 90's.
The only real difference with yours is the yellow top cover. All the others have black one's.
I think I should have a good second hand one for you.Do you need the throttle tube as well?
