Excuse me if I am out of line here but 130.00 dollars for a non-championship event sounds a bit expensive don't you think? also consider the fact you need to join the club also to run the event?

I know if you enter you can run more than one class for no more money but if you are only on one bike it would seem to be an expensive ride for 9 laps total racing?

I have not been to a club meeting for a while but did the members vote for this?

Just my thoughts and no more than that.

Are you and Brett riding this one Shane? I've missed the last couple through various reasons but should be right for this one!

Weighing up if I want to pay 180 dollars for 3 rides.

Brett is a no goer still has a problem with his knee.

Looks like being a top meeting so will be up for a look anyway.

John, you have been in good form of late so would be good to see you out with the boy's in the main race.

Hi, the cost per rider at Conondale this year is $141 per rider. The Ambo is $3000 and it goes on and on .The costs to run the event are currently $23,950. I have volunteered to be the starter for the last 2 years , cost me $300 in fuel for that, I would still love to ride the Connondale track. I think that the people who rock up and ride then go home do very well @ $130. I wish I could be one of them!. Regards Andrew Rowan Acting QVMX President

Agree -though is it closed to club event. open event  or interclub ?
What if the rider is already a member of another VMX club and with a full MA National Licence ?? Would the rider still have to be a member of Qvmx ?
cheers
Best is in the West !!

We have a reduced club membership for the event Ali, it's the best way to run it. To further Andrews comments, this event IS the biggest and BEST VMX RACE meet of the year. A lot of behind the scenes work is done by a lot of people to make this event happen and the costs add up....and go up each year. Where are you going to see and perhaps ride in a race with legends from back in the day?.....this event is growing and growing, last year we had just on 170 riders, there's entertainment, trade stalls, prizes, 3 days of the best fun and racing you'll have in the Southern hemisphere on a VMX bike...... all at one of the great iconic tracks in Aussie. There are riders coming from NZ as well as all over Aussie. If you want to ride Conondale with like wise people and bikes, this is it. Shane, you where there last year and witnessed what a great event it was, I know your priority's have changed as far as VMX goes but I hope you turn up and ride, you'll kick yourself if you don't. Watching the "Pro class" guys racing there 500cc monsters at warp speed (and the fact they can still do it) gives you goosebumps. Who knows how long events like this will continue?.....get into it while you can. If anybody from down south wants to come and wants to know more you can ring me on 0412 747729, see you there   John Tate   QVMX marketing

It's all part of the experience of the whole weekend Adam.....the track cost has gone up quite a bit this year and to be honest we are very lucky to be using the track.....you should not be carrying on about the cost since sidecars have 2 people and you only pay for one!!!!. ...maybe get your "monkey" to pay. ;D

Yeah LOL ... $170 PLUS additional class costs and PLUS one event National Fees mate....  Wasn't far short of $300. This event is ONLY $120 and you QLD'ers were having a go at us from NSW for not entering down here due to cost??   :D :D :D
