74 TY 250 tank

    Hi all i am doing up a !974  TY 250 but i need of a Fuel Tank
    if any one has one gathering dust in the shed..

George, probably worth mentioning what state of a tank you're after. Something that you're happy to restore or something in better shape to use as is?? Ive had a look on eBay for you and anything that isn't a complete piece of shit is quite dear or has the usual ridiculous costs to get here from os, good luck and hope you get onto something  :)

     Thanks Rookie i am open to any offers at the moment
     yes they are silly prices at the moment .
      I can buy a brand New One from Vietnam for about
      $350 . lander here but cant afford that so will have to
      see what i can find here..

One of the biggest problems with the 74 tank is it's material, a lot of them are rusty inside. The later tanks are a different shape & aluminium but come up for sale even less although I remember someone telling me they have a D model tank in their shed if I needed it

Current bikes. KTM MC 250 77 Husky CR 360 77, Husky 82 420 Auto Bitsa XR 200 project. Dont need a pickle just need to ride my motorcickle

      Thanks Slakewell but like most I started off buying a 1/4 of a bike then a 1/2
      bike still not enought to build a bike so bought   a another 3/4 bike all on ebay.
       most members can relate to that.
       In the end i shall have a fair bit of TY for sale motors wheels forks  but no Tanks.

       The D tank is differant i think Tony thanks

The D tank is alloy, should fit.

I got one in my shed, I will check it and get back to you with price/condition. Its in Newcastle NSw so if you are local come and have a look. Its a steel A model, from memory unpainted but lookin good....
