It's easier to quote the similarities........wheels, forks, mudguards and seat (and even it is slightly different even though they're interchangeable),. The tank is slightly different, the same shape but with the filler in a different spot. The engine is a totally different design being based on the old DT1 design wheras the MX is the first of the new "big case" engines. The frame is also a total one off for the model, nothing like the earlier DT1 or later MX.

Actually, looking at that comparison the tanks ARE different. There ya go, if you don't learn at least one thing a day it's a wasted day.

I'll go out and paint my letter box blue in preparation for tonight's game and to stir up my Queensland born postie .

And i think thats probably the thing that gives the DT2 the edge in the looks department, coupled with that awesome colour scheme it gets the chocolates in my mind!

I just heard back from Jim the seller of the 500 buck DT2MX and unfortunately he's in Frederick, Maryland which is about as far away from the west coast shipping ports as you can get. While $500 is a great price for the bike, it'd cost $ 500-700 to just get it to Long Beach. Even with that shipping it's still a good price but I don't need it that bad. If anyone's interested I can pass on Jims contact details.
