Gee, you don't want much do you......tanks are getting harder to get, so be prepared to pay $200 to $300 for a dented one....there's heeps of 125 ones around, GMC does a great pipe with a long muffler (a necessity with mantadory noise testing after 1/7/13 at every MX meeting) and an air filter...what do you want...complete box filter assy.....Ebay will be your friend....good luck.

Shelpi me old son. Like Davey said.....

I have all those parts and some other spares but they were hard fought over time and all attached to the 370 A I have under a blanket in the man cave.

There is a guy up on the North Coast of NSW with Suzuki bits like the air box. Retro parts or similar to that.

I have early A model air (rubber flap riveted at rear) & a pipe which is not too bad, but has a stinger welded on. I have plenty of 125 tanks, no 250/370 though.

Shelpi,

I looked it up for you. Google Motoretro - They are in NSW.  I have forgotten his name but he was very good to deal with. I got RM 370 Parts and a mate has got YZ and TS bits over the years.

Hope this helps.

If you get sick of building one let me know as mine is looking for a new home. Keen to get hold of a Maico AW 400 to match up with the AW 250 under the other blanket.

What were the differences between 125 and 250/370 tanks? i have two in the shed and i am not sure whate they are off. I may have a pipe, but i think it is off an rm400. I have an rm370 frame which has been blasted and painted, looks good. It had an air box but i am not sure how good it is. It has a funny metal lid which looks like it has been raised or something. I will try to get some pics up.
all for sale, of course!  :)
cheers, shane

250/370 tanks are quite a bit larger, pipe should fit, airbox cover could be the lid that came on the PE's, PEB/C 250 box will fit, may need to trim the back of the rear guard....make sure the guard doesn't touch the back of the airbox as it will wear through.

Shelpi,

Run with Hatrick in Qld for the carb, if a modern one will fit. Check the direction of the float bowl overflow outlets. We found the RM 125 A carb was a big issue. If it points in the wrong way it will push up against the cases.

The 250/370 tank is quite different to a 125 tank. Basically the 370 has a quite a high `hump' on the top where the 125 is quite slim in comparison. Back in the day Anthony Gunter used the 125 tank on his race bike cause it felt a bit better he said.

TM - I have sent you a PM about the 370.

All the best

My tank is the smaller one i think, and it has the filler cap offset to the right. Any thoughts? One is in good shape except for a small dent and one of the front rubber strap tags has pulled off. The other has a small hole rubbed through at the back where it was touching the frame. But it has both tags in place.

I think the A models had the filler in the centre which made it hard to get a funnel in to get the fuel in. The B model they worked out if they put it off centre  the funnel wouldn't hit the back  bone of the frame.

But could be wrong too
