The Green Horror
« on: June 06, 2013, 08:58:34 pm »
It's funny the things that just jump into your mind. Just watching The Footy Show and loosing the will to live when suddenly I started thinking about "The Green Horror" I think it came out fortnightly and was Victorian based. I remember Peter De Graves tested all the scramble bikes. Anybody on here remember it? J

It just turned into AMCN, Les Swallow was an editor that went on to publish Trail & Track.

Australian Motorcycle News got its nickname because it was printed on cheap green stock and for its dubious production qualities, even worse than early Trail and Track if you can believe it. It eventually morphed into the class glossy we have today.

A modern (1974) Green Horror.

A Vintage(1958) Green Horror, its that long in the tooth the colours faded out.

Its got a race report from a meeting at Korweinguboora,  #8's dad had a good day  8) & QLD Scramble Championships

You also had Australian Motorcycle Action with plenty of local imfo,

I remember that pic of the crossed-up MT250 was also on the front cover of an early Trail & Track.
