i used to race them they were a very pretty bike :P

Whilst on the subject, if anyone out there happens to come across a later model motocross Montesa with a WHITE TANK, .

Rosscoe that looks shit hot with new tank ,It will be a shame to take it out and throw rocks and dirt at it and keep us posted on the painter ,thats a lovely story .

yes that picture of 250 is it alright
there were only two that i know of
i raced one in victoria for lyall o brien
motors were excellent
they turned great
suspension not so good just average
very tall bike with high ground clearance
i raced that and a vf414 for a season
then went to suzuki
last time i saw bike was at melbourne suzuki in 82 traded it on a rm250z floater
i think one of the salesmen snapped it up ;D

There is a video clip of a VG250 Cappra idling away on a stand on You Tube . I would post the link if I was smart enough , but I have only just recently learnt how to post images. It is listed as Montesa Cappra VG . I thought that the unusual hotdog style muffler was one made up by the owner. But after looking at the image of the VG250 posted earlier in this thread , it may be how it came from the factory . They are a nice looking bike , but I still think that I prefer the look of the '77 VB360 Cappra .

i had ron dinsdales old one back then it was a jet ;D
hard to keep the front end down ;D
